Tioga County Sports ReportTIOGA COUNTY - Wrestling takes center stage with the Jarvis Wildcat Memorial Tournament being held in Athens, Pennsylvania.
There is also a wrestling tournament and track meet out of the area featuring local teams.
WRESTLING
Owego at Jarvis Wildcat Memorial Tournament, 9 a.m.: The annual event features 11 teams this year, including five teams from Pa., five from New York, and one from Maine.
Owego, Deposit-Hancock, and Johnson City represent Section IV in N.Y., while Section V Alexander and Section VI Falconer will also be on hand. Five Pennsylvania teams and one from Maine are also competing.
Newark Valley at Dave Buck Memorial Tournament, 9 a.m.: The Cardinals will join Section IV Division I champ Elmira and Division II champ Tioga, as well as several other teams from around the sections and four teams from outside the section.
SVEC at Valley Duals (Ilion), 10 a.m.: The Panthers compete in day two of the Valley Duals at Central Valley Acadmy.
INDOOR TRACK & FIELDOwego at Bomber Invitational, 9 a.m. @ Ithaca College: The Indians had some solid showings at the 607 Invitational last week and look to do the same at IC.
