IAC JV BOYS BASKETBALL: CANDOR WINS BRADFORD TOURNEY (2018-12-03)

CANDOR - The Candor JV team opened the season by claiming the championship at the Bradford Tip-Off Tournament recently.

In the semifinals on Nov. 21, Candor defeated Avoca, 52-42.

Joel Dougherty led the team with 19 points and 11 rebounds, Joey Marsh had 16 points, six rebounds and three steals, and Nash Whitmore contributed 11 points and seven rebounds.

The scoring was more balanced in the championship game two days later with 10 different players scoring for the Indians in a 56-21 rout of Bradford. 

Nash Whitmore and Joel Dougherty put up 10 apiece, and Joey Marsh added nine points, seven rebounds and three steals. 

Candor plays at Tioga Center Tuesday and Friday at home vs. Newark Valley.
