COLLEGE CROWD: OWEGO GRAD TAYLOR COMPETING AT NATIONALS (2018-11-08)

BINGHAMTON - Broome Community College freshman Paige Taylor and her Hornet teammates are competing in the NJCAA Division III Volleyball National Championships, currently running through Saturday in Rochester, Minnesota.

Taylor was named to the Region III all-tournament team following the Hornets' title-clinching 3-0 win over Finger Lakes CC Sunday in Sanborn, N.Y. It's Broome's first regional championship in 34 years.

On Saturday, Broome went 2-1 in pool play, defeating Erie  CC and Genesee CC, 3-0, and falling to Jefferson CC, 2-1.

In 12 sets at regionals, Taylor compiled 25 kills, 23 blocks and 47 service points.
