COLLEGE CROWD: S-VE GRAD ALPERT WINS COLLEGE DEBUT (2018-11-07)

ITHACA - S-VE grad Grady Alpert won his collegiate debut at the Ithaca Invitational here last weekend.

The Ithaca College freshman competed at 174 pounds. After receiving a first-round bye, he defeated RIT's Joe Monteleone by fall in 2:33.

Alpert would drop his next two bouts, 14-8 to top-seeded Michael Gargano of Johnson & Wales and 7-6 to fourth-seeded Chance LaPier of Castleton University. Gargano and LaPier went on to place third and fourth, respectively.

Ithaca heads to the Northeast Duals in Troy, N.Y. Saturday.
