TIOGA COUNTY - The Section IV girls soccer tournaments move to the forefront of the postseason foray with SVEC and Newark Valley getting underway in Class B and C, respectively.

The Cardinals (8-3-1) are seeded fifth and will entertain sixth-seeded Walton (6-6-2). SVEC (7-7-1) drew the No. 9 seed and head to Union Springs to face No. 8 Union Springs / Port Byron (8-7).

Also in the schedule is an opportunity for Candor volleyball to clinch the IAC South Small School championship when its hosts Newark Valley. The Indians are 14-0 and are two up on defending champion Tioga in the loss column. Also on the docket is S-VE volleyball at Watkins Glen. Both matches begin with the JV at 5 p.m.
