IAC GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: EDISON DEFEATS SPENCER-VAN ETTEN (2018-09-19)

ELMIRA HEIGHTS - Spencer-Van Etten kept it close most of the way, but couldn't come away with a win in a 3-0 IAC South loss to Edison here Wednesday.
The Spartans won by scores of 25-20, 25-17 and 25-21.
Lindsey Green had three kills, one block and six digs for the Panthers, and Niah Lavore added two kills and 10 digs. Daisy Vallely had five assists and nine digs, and Lauren Chiusano had nine digs.
Bella Willsey had seven kills and seven digs for Edison (4-3) and Makenzie Lear had 16 service points (one ace). Julia Klotz added five kills, Ali Andriene had four kills, Jodie Burdick had eight points, and Ryleigh Carson and Mikayla Bush had six and four assists, respectively.
The Panthers (1-5) host Watkins Glen on Friday.
JV: Edison won, 2-1. The scores were 25-10, 22-25 and 25-9.
