TIOGA COUNTY -The top-ranked and highly-touted Chenango Forks Blue Devils invade Christy J. Valvo Stadium tonight for a Section IV Division II clash.

Also on the docket is SVEC-Tioga field hockey. They may not be playing for a championship, but there is pride at stake.

SVEC also has a big game on the pitch with girls soccer visiting Waverly for an IAC South Large School clash.

FOOTBALL
Chenango Forks (2-0 overall, 1-0 Div. II) at Owego (2-0, 1-0), 7 p.m.:
It's a showdown of state-ranked teams and the winner could have the inside track to the Section IV Division II title. Wednesday's New York Sportswriters Association rankings  put Forks at the top of the Class B heap while the Indians debut at No. 24.

BOYS SOCCER
Watkins Glen (0-2) at Newark Valley (2-2), 4:30 p.m.:
The Cardinals held off SVEC, 3-2, on Thursday. The Senecas dropped a 5-1 decision to Trumansburg on Tuesday.

GIRLS SOCCER
SVEC (2-3) at Waverly (5-1), 4:30 p.m.:
The Eagles, who dropped a 1-0 heartbreaker to Newark Valley on Wednesday and went double overtime to defeat Lansing on Thursday, will play their third game in three days. The Wolverines are red-hot, having crushed Notre Dame, 4-0, in their last outing.

FIELD HOCKEY

Tioga (0-6) at SVEC (0-5), 4:30 p.m.:
The Eagles fell to Owego, 3-1, in their last outing while Tioga went down to Moravia, 9-1.

GIRLS TENNIS
Corning (4-1) at Owego (3-3), 4 p.m.: The Indians snapped a two-game skid with a 7-0 shutout of Maine-Endwell. Corning is coming off a big win over Horseheads.
