STAC BOYS SOCCER: OWEGO FALLS TO CORNING IN OT (2018-09-13)
Tioga County Sports Report OWEGO - Hunter Sisson was busy "earning his stripes" here Thursday night. Unfortunately for Owego, the Indians came out on the short side of a 1-0 overtime decision against Corning.
Owego head coach Kwasi Van Scoy called Sisson, the Indians' sure-handed goalkeeper, the "Man of the Match" for his 13-save effort.
The Hawks picked up the winning goal on a header from Brennan Frost Griffin.
Corning took 10 shots to Owego's five and held a 9-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Griffin Huff made seven saves for the Hawks (4-2), who have won four straight games, all by one goal.
Owego (0-6) will play Long Island-based Jericho (1-1) on Saturday in the Heck tournament at Oneonta. The game will be played on Field 4 at the Wright National Soccer complex.
