OWEGO — Owego (Adams) built an eight-run cushion and rolled to a 14-4, four-inning victory over U-E (Furney) in A Division bracket play at the Owego Little League 10U Tournament here Wednesday.

Owego scored four runs in the first and four in the second. U-E would respond with a four-run third, but Owego countered with five runs in its half of the inning.

Mason Schneider walked in the fourth and worked his way around the bases to end the game via the 10-run mercy rule.

Owego took advantage of a single and four walks to go  up 4-0. They switched it up in the second inning, however, riding five base hits and one walk to an 8-0 advantage.

Owego turned a double play in the third, which helped halt a U-E surge.

Two singles, two hit batters and four walks led to Owego's five-run third.

Owego batters drew 10 walks and had eight hits.

Sawyer Miller went 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI, and Cayden Adams was 2-for-2 with three runs to lead the Owego charge.

Dylan Brace was 1-for-2 with two runs and an RBI; Anthony Ottaviani was 1-for-2 with two RBI; and Schneider went 1-for-1 with two runs. 

Caden Morrow contributed a hit, and Jordann Fernandez, Payden Morales, Lynkon Craft, Gio Every and Jackson Barrows added a run apiece.

Brace and Ottaviani combined to check U-E on four hits and four walks, striking out five in the process.

Owego is off until 10:45 a.m. Sunday when it faces the winner of U-E and M-E in the championship round.
