At the plate, Hendershot batted .548 (34-for-62) with 13 doubles, one home run, 18 RBI, 32 runs, and 17 stolen bases. He drew 25 walks and had an on-base percentage of .688. He also had a slugging percentage of .806, and an on-base plus slugging percentage of 1.494.

On the hill, he recorded a 9-3 record. He struck out 95, walked 18, and allowed 42 hits in 75 2/3 innings. Hendershot logged a 1.12 ERA a 0.80 WHIP (walks plus hits divided by innings pitched). During the postseason, he won three games in a single week, including Class C playoff wins over highly Edison and 2018 Class D state champion Deposit / Hancock,

Hendershot was also an integral part of the Tigers' infield as well, holding down the hot corner.

Candor junior Brayden Ferris is the “Defensive Player of the Year.” He held down the spot at first base and committed just one error all season. In addition, he scooped numerous balls out of the dirt, preventing opponents from advancing.

Waverly's Caden Hollywood has been selected the “Newcomer of the Year.” The freshman went 7-0 as a pitcher with a 2.15 ERA. He struck out 44 and walked 36 in 45 2/3 innings while giving up just 27 hits.

At the plate, Hollywood hit .279 (17-for-61) with five doubles, seven RBI, and 13 runs.

Tioga's Kevin Evanek has been chosen the “Coach of the Year.” He guided the Tigers to a 17-5 overall record, the Section IV Class C championship and a berth in the state playoffs.
