TRACK & FIELD
Division II State Championships at Middletown, 11 a.m. (Friday) / 10 a.m. (Saturday)
Girls Qualifiers• Newark Valley’s Kayla Malarkey in the pentathlon
• Newark Valley’s Marissa Silba in the steeplechase
• S-VE’s Jenna Squire in the high jump
Boys Qualifiers• Candor’s Lance Jensen in the 400 hurdles
• Owego’s Colby Selover in the discus
• Owego’s Cameron Szabo in the 800
• Owego’s Nate Bowers in the 3200
• Owego’s Lewis Race, Derek Sarrge, Bowers and Szabo in the 4x800 relay
NOTE: Waverly qualified five individuals and one relay.
BASEBALL
Class C playoffs, Saturday, TBD: Tioga faces Section III king Cooperstown Saturday at NYSEG Stadium in Binghamton at a time to be determined.
SOFTBALLClass B Playoffs, Friday, 5:30 p.m.: Waverly will play the Section III champion, yet to be decided, at Carrier Park in East Syracuse.
