SECTION IV TRACK & FIELD: JENSEN WINS TWICE TO PACE CANDOR AT CLASS D MEET (2019-05-22)

MARATHON — Candor hurdles standout Lance Jensen swept those events at the Section IV Class D Track & Field Championships here Wednesday.

Jensen posted a time of 15.45 seconds to claim the 110 hurdles title and captured the 400 hurdles with a time of 55.51 seconds.

Jeb Parillo finished fourth in the 400 hurdles in 1:02.72.

Ben Dizer placed sixth in the 400 in 55.17 seconds.

The Indians were runners-up in two relays. They clocked 3:38.14 in the 4x400 relay and ran a 8:35.21 in the 4x800 relay (names were not available).

In the girls meet, Leah O’Connell claimed second place in the 800 with a time of 2:29.7.

Candor finished sixth in the 4x400 relay in (names were not available).

Candor placed sixth in the boys team standings with 41 points. Unatego was first with 81.

The girls were 16th with nine points. Odessa-Montour took first with 86.

The top three finishers in each event plus provisional qualifiers move to the Section IV State Qualifier at U-E Wednesday and Thursday.
