THE WEEK AHEAD: MORE SPORTS JOIN POSTSEASON FRAY (2019-05-19)

TIOGA COUNTY — More sports join the postseason fray as class sectionals will be contested in track & field, and lacrosse. The IAC Boys Golf Championships are scheduled for Wednesday and the class sectional baseball and softball seeds will be decided Monday evening.

Here are this week’s postseason events (full schedules are on the school pages).

MONDAY
The IAC track & field meet for 9th- and 10th-graders will be held at Trumansburg.

TUESDAY
Owego competes in the Section IV Class A/B Track & Field Championships at Vestal.

WEDNESDAY
The IAC Boys Golf Championships take place at Soaring Eagles Golf Course in Horseheads.

Newark Valley and S-VE participate in the Section IV Class C Track & Field Championships at Oneonta.

Candor competes in the Section IV Class D Track & Field Championships at Marathon.

THURSDAY
Top-seeded Owego hosts the winner of Johnson City and M-E in the Section IV Class C Boys Lacrosse Championships.
