IAC TRACK & FIELD: S-VE'S MICKELSON WINS 1600 TO SPEARHEAD TEAM'S SHOWING AT LEAGUE MEET (10 PHOTOS) (2019-05-17)
Tioga County Sports ReportTRUMANSBURG, N.Y. — S-VE’s Levi Mickelson captured the top spot in the 1600-meter run to highlight the Panthers’ effort on the first day of the IAC Track & Field Championships here Thursday.
Mickelson registered a time of 4:41.53. Teammate Calum Avery was fifth overall and second in the Small School division with a time of 4:54.72.
James Wilkinson was the Small School runner-up in the shot put, taking fourth overall with a heave of 41-4.
Ryan Hodges was 10th overall and third in Small School in the steeplechase, clocking 12:19.24.
The 4x800 relay finished third in Small School and seventh overall (no time listed). Kenny Collister, Hodges, Tyler Doster and Tyler Stahl made up the quartet.
Morgan Myers, Markus Brock, Stahl and Cesar Figueroa took 10th overall in the 4x100 relay preliminaries, clocking 51.53 seconds.
On the girls side, Ryleigh Clark took third in Small School in the 100 and fifth overall with a time of 13.43 seconds.
Jenna Squire was third in Small School in the 100 hurdles and 12th overall in 18.24 seconds.
The 4x100 relay (no names listed) was second in Small School and third overall with a time of 52.78 seconds.
The meet concludes today, starting at 4:45 p.m.
