IAC BASEBALL / SOFTBALL: LEAGUE UNVEILS NEW DIVISIONAL ALIGNMENT IN 2019 (2019-03-18)
Tioga County Sports ReportITHACA - The Interscholastic Athletic Conference will feature a new divisional alignment for its baseball and softball leagues in 2019.
Instead of a North-South geographical alignment with Large and Small School divisions, the IAC will split into three divisions, based almost exclusively on enrollment.
The three division winners, plus a wild card will advance to the IAC playoffs. Based on strength-of-schedule, the wild card will be the second-place team in Division 2 or Division 3 with the best divisional record.
The following are the divisional alignments for the 2019 IAC baseball and softball seasons. (BEDS numbers in parenthesis.)
