IAC BOWLING: CANDOR SPLITS WITH ODESSA-MONTOUR (2019-02-04)
Tioga County Sports ReportWATKINS GLEN - Alexis Karabec rolled the high game and Stacy Emond recorded the high series to lead the Candor girls to a 3-1 victory over Odessa-Montour between the top two teams in the IAC Small School division at Harborside Lanes Monday.
GIRLSEmond scored a 160-436 an Karabec shot a 164-433. Kaitlyn Johnston chopped in with a 153-421, Sarah Emond had a 148-419, Olivia Bennett tallied a 147-417 and Mya Marsh added a 159-413.
Candor, which came in with a 48-16 record and a 7-point lead over O-M, won the first game, 738-666, and the second, 755-717. The host would avoid a shutout by taking game three, 689-673. Candor won the total pinfall, 2166-2072.
O-M was led by Jackie Vincent, 213-528.
BOYSO-M won, 4-0, with scores of 724-552, 631-603 and 708-618 to take the total pinfall, 2063-1773.
Austin Hoyt led the way with a 192-529.
For Candor, Ethan Howe had a 135-368, Matt Fitch rolled a 134-366, and Garrett Lindhorst shot a 138-361. Devin Benesh had a 125-341, Storm Andrews tallied a 117-325 and Carson Howe had a 105-280.
