TIOGA COUNTY — The Section IV Division II wrestling qualifiers and the IAC Bowling Championships highlight today’s schedule.

WRESTLING
Section IV qualifier at Owego, 10 a.m.: Two-time defending champion Tioga heads a field that includes two other Tioga County teams, Newark Valley and Owego.

The Tigers have five No. 1 seeds —seniors John Worthing (138 pounds) and Austin Lamb (145), junior Brady Worthing (132), freshman Emmett Wood (152), and 7th-grader Caden Bellis (99). NV and Owego have one top seed each. The Cardinals are represented by senior Trentyn Rupert (285) and Owego has sophomore Cam Bundy (170).

Section IV qualifier at Whitney Point, 10 a.m.: Representing Tioga County are SVEC and Waverly. The Eagles have  pair of top seeds in sophomore Parker Sexton (132) and senior Mark Mullen (182). Waverly has one top seed in junior Ethan Stotler (145).

BOWLING
IAC championships at Valley Bowling Center, Waverly, 1 p.m.: The Newark Valley boys will try to challenge strong Tioga and Waverly programs, as well as Watkins Glen.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Candor at Newfield, 6 p.m. JV start.
